About Us

East Devon Choral Society (EDCS) has been based in Tiverton since 1973, in recent years under the baton of our talented, enthusiastic conductor Andrew Daldorph. EDCS sings a broad repertoire covering many of the major choral works as well as exploring other musical influences from Negro Spirituals to Opera.

In 2009 East Devon Choral Society, together with Exeter Chamber Choir, was awarded the prestigious title of   PRS for Music’s “Unforgettable Choir” for its performance of Andrew Daldorph’s “Songs of Hope and Creation” in Exeter Cathedral.

The inaugural nationwide competition, organised by PRS for Music, set out to discover the country’s best amateur choir live performance, newly recorded onto CD or DVD.

Please join us for two rehearsals for a free ‘taster’ of what we do.

There are no strings attached and you will be very welcome.

We meet on Mondays, 7.15 pm – 9.15 pm in

Old Heathcoat School Community Centre, 81 King Street, Tiverton EX16 5JJ

There are no audition requirements.
